RUSH HOUR

RUSH HOUR


 We live our lives in "hurry-up" speed  so much of the time. We rush, rush, rush from one event to another, one project to the next, one person to the next  trying to crowd so much into our day. I am sure our calendars are all full . And in my case I even have reminder notes in the margins. 


  I must confess I rushed around choosing fabrics in red, white, black and grey. Caffine is frequently used to fuel our rushing around and this perfect print called my name.  Even found  coffee cups to applique on my table topper.

Now if I could just learn to slow down and enjoy my coffee outdoors.


 In response to the question about what the words Rush Hour ment to her my teenage niece replied "traffic and coffee".  Since she doesn't have her drivers license yet I thought this would be her speed. Although as you see bikes weave in and out of traffic they might be a little too rushed.

I was rushing around in picture mode today and had great difficulity getting true red colors. The beautiful sunny day was creating orange from the reds.

 So I waited patiently until almost dusk and snapped again.

  I can picture this little lady frustrating the traffic behing her as she putters along enjoying the day.

    They are all so great. I love the little granny, but my granny would have been the one doing 90 mph. Passing everyone. I love the bicycle quilt as well. I need one like that. :0)

    We think alike. Love your little quilts. If I'm going to ride a bike I would rather sit on a coffee cup than one of those little tiny seats. OUCH. Bring on the caffeine. Love your little car quilt. I can see her in my rear view mirror.

    Frances, your lady behind the wheel. made me chuckle....a delight it is...your quilt very appealing in its theme and flair...love the bike with coffee...I have been known to take my coffee in my ruffled basket and tour my block in the mornings...

    That little lady is always in front of me, in the left fast lane, and she won't move over. Good thing she is so dang cute in that mini quilt or else she'd hear me honking! So many wonderful projects...you did an amazing job of depicting rush hour!

    So true...we rush rush rush and miss so many important details of each day. I am always glad when I can use the car pool lane during rush hour, for then I get home and can relax!!!

    Your little lady puttering along is so cute though I don't particularly like getting behind someone like that!! Your quilt is beautiful - love all the red. Since biking is also something my hubby and I enjoy, I think the bicycle is great!
