RUNNING INTO FALL

Running Into Fall

It has been a week of runners. I am in a runner swap using the 10 minute runner patten. Simple stitching, fast and very easy to do. The rule was that fall colors must be used. This one will travel to Newfoundland.

This arrived from Marystown. Perfect coloring for fall and sew cute.

This became a runner in the prayer basket sold at the Fall Fair.

Love fabric with words.

Bought this happy fabric yesterday.  Can't you see a hallowe'en runner in the works?

MUSHROOMS & QUILTS

Mushroom City

My yard was completely peppered with mushrooms today.

Caused by the hot summer or all the recent rain a vision of yellow amid the green greeted me this morning.  I fully expected to see tiny elves cavorting under the mushroom caps.

I stitched up the 2012 Fall Mystery by carterquilter.  A great project for a Sunday afternoon.  Followed the clues to a finish before midnight.  Yeah !!!  Rarely use yellow but mushrooms must have been a factor in my color choice.  Very cheerful.  Tried to create shelf space by using stash fabric.  Yeah again !!!

Even when stitching there should always should be time for a tea party.

FALL INTO FABRIC

FALL INTO FABRIC

There is nothing prettier than the colors of fall.

Autumn Leaves
Leaves in the autumn came tumbling down,
Scarlet and yellow, russet and brown,
Leaves in the garden were swept in a heap,
Trees were undressing, ready for sleep.
~unknown~

These two blocks are from the Glorious Autumn Block Party at the Quilting Gallery.

You can't beat fall in fabric.

Bee In My Bonnet Row Along.

Bee In My Bonnet Row Along

Here we go again. Common sense does not rule. I found a stitch along  sponsored by The Bee In The Bonnet that looked interesting. My rule is that I am only to use stash fabric.New row every two weeks. Ends spring 2013.

Row One completed. Definitely going to be scrappy. And colorful  ;~}

Happily stash busting,

 Frances
