QUILTING AT THE CAUSEWAY
QUILTING AT THE CAUSEWAY
I love quilt shows in churches. There is always a tranquility about them. Yesterday I lucked out and the Ocean Waves Quilt show was still on at St. Davids in Port Hastings as I headed back from CB. So on this warm Sunday afternoon I am giving you a few snippets from the quilt show. It was a very pretty show and the oatcakes and tea were delicious. Still a few days to see if you are in the area.
This quilt was exquisite. All hand appliqued and wonderfully hand quilted. Her own personal design. Absolutely beautiful.
Unfortunately I did not write down many of the pattern names. I think the center quilt is a Suttles & Seawinds pattern called "The Bluenose".
There was a wide range of patterns and designs. I was happy to see the Celtic Knot as I had begun one earlier but not finished it. Now I know it must leave the UFO pile.
Sew pretty.
Lovely patchwork and color choices.
The wool applique in the top flower had the tiniest and most even blanket stitch possible. I think I need to explore wool quilting.
Sew grab a cup of tea and enjoy the evening.
