SCRAPPY SUNDAY
For another Sunday I am joining Kim at Kim's Big Quilting Adventure for another Scrap Basket Sunday.
Stitched extra blocks and cut more squares for the Journal Quilt.
It is starting to take shape. Now only to sew all those 2.5 inch squares together. Lots of fun matching all those corners together. ;~{ Not my favorite activity.
This Moda pattern for a village will make good use of 5 inch squares. I did need another project - didn't I ?
I wasn't as busy stitching as this week as whatever dug this was.
Looks like I am about to open a rooming house ~~ In two days some
animal -groundhog ? raccoon ? or heaven forbid a skunk ? has dug out
under my cement front step !!!! Would do any excavator proud .
Apparently he does not like tulips because the gravel pile is on top of
my flowers. Not quite sure what to do. I think a trip to buy mothballs
tomorrow might be in order. I would like to plan an eviction before he moves his family in . I do not have plans for baby quilts in my future.
Sew glad you stopped by.

This is a groundhog setting up housekeeping under my front step. Oh JOY !!!!!!
Scrap Happy Sunday

While organizing stash a lucky find was pockets from an apron panel. The "scrap happy" block might become a runner or some other creation in the future. Am I the only sewer who sews an impulse block then wonders where it will live? This might explain my growing UFO pile.
Karren at The Painted Quilt has designed a BOM called Happy Scrappy Spring. This should be a cheerful quilt and I love the embroidery.
Row #1 is complete.
Sew put the tea pot on, grab a cuppa and join other Sunday scrappers.

Scrappy Sunday
An attack on the overflowing scrap basket became necessary. Kim at Kim's Big Quilting Adventure was hosting a Scrap Basket Sunday so I joined other scrappy savers who also want to reduce stash .

Choose a pattern "Journal Quilt" which makes good use of small scraps so cut many 2 1/2 inch squares. It should be colorful because there are a lot of flower scraps.

Sew have a great scrap busting Sunday.

SNOW FLOWERS

April showers should bring May flowers. Goodness knows what April snow brings. I snapped this pic early this morning on my back step. Thought Mother Nature might need a hand.
This pretty dot fabric arrived as a spring offering in the local fabric shop. I could not resist.
Enjoy a snow-stitching day.
